🍂 The Season of The Witch
Potions, playlists and the unseen magic of Autumn
The air shifts, the leaves crisp, and suddenly my inner witch starts stirring… it’s officially that season. If you see me channeling Cher, Susan, and Michelle à la The Witches of Eastwick this fall, just nod and let me live my truth.
Jokes aside, my witch aspirations are really about living in rhythm with mystery. Trusting the unseen. Remembering I’m a co-conspirator with Spirit — call it God, The Universe, the Ancestors, or whatever name you give the magic that moves through us. Being a witch is truly just about being in connection with the earth and all the magic it holds. And as someone who loves rituals, autumn is when my spiritual practice feels most alive.
One of my favorite rituals is making moon water, and with the new moon on October 21, it’s the perfect time to prepare (moon water is best on new & full moons).
The season also calls for the right soundtrack, so I pulled together a witchy playlist for you…think Stevie Nicks, Lana, Eartha Kitt, and a few darker surprises to set the spell.
And because no witch steps into autumn unprepared, I couldn’t resist making a little Witchy Girl Starter Kit. Mine would include Practical Magic on repeat, A Discovery of Witches for TV, a tarot pull with The High Priestess, Death, and The Moon, plus a pocket of amethyst, black tourmaline, and labradorite. Add in sage, mugwort, rosemary, and the smoke of a lit candle to calling on our ancestors to light the way and you’re ready to conjure 🪄✨
